Sailor Moon's Shadow

Sailor Moon appears and opens her eyes. Bank cel from the opening animation of the second half of the original series. This cel layer illustrates the interesting way they animated and filmed this part of the opening. When the scene starts out, it is under heavy shadows and then slowly lightens to normal brightness. So I think they created the shadows on a separate layer for every cel in this sequence and then they were super-imposed somehow in a later process. If you notice, the shadows are missing from my other colored-in cel (with the locket) from this sequence. Unfortunately, this shadow layer is one sequence number off from my other cel.
